All of the camps used by SMS are fully catered and rooms are all en suite. It is important to us that you get a good hot shower , a good meal and a good nights rest! Alcohol is not supplied but can be arranged for you on request!
Our chefs , waiters , camp staff , skinners , trackers & PHs are all dedicated wholeheartedly to making your safari a safe , comfortable and memorable one!
OUR CAMPS
TRAVEL
Clients will fly either to Livingstone or Lusaka International airports.
They will then either be driven or charter bush planes depending on where they are going hunting. Visas may be obtained at the airport on arrival. We will organize all government permits and rifle import (with required info from the client). Bows and arrows do not require any permits. Please ensure that you are taking an anti-malaria course – we recommend malarone. Also have your yellow fever injection to be on the safe side.
Zambia is a safe country with very good medical facilities – we just recommend that your medical aidis up to date in case of an emergency evacuation.
AREAS
We operate in the finest areas in Zambia – namely;
Nyampala, Mumbwa West, Mukungule, Rufunsa & Tondwa GMAs.
Added to these we have several game ranches to hunt these areas are pristine and all natural,
offering our clients as wild a safari as possible and access to an amazing array of species.

SMS specializes in Bow Hunting but rifle hunters are also welcome.
Our dangerous game is second to none with excellent lion , leopard , elephant, buffalo , hippo and crocodile trophies being harvested every year. Our success rates on lion and leopard are close to unbeatable! Even with a bow.
Strang is a bowhunter personally and has vast experience in the field – this makes for a great advantage when hunting dangerous game with your bow!
Bow hunters will be treated to a wide range of hunting styles – from walk n stalk to spot n stalk, blinds, tree stands, ladder stands and pop up blinds.
Rifle hunts are all walk and stalk or spot and stalk and easy for us because of the bow hunting factor! Safaris will run as 5 , 7 , 10 , 14 , 21 or 24 day hunts depending on area and species being hunted. Trophies – every bit of care is taken to ensure your trophies arrive home in pristine condition. Trophies are field prepped and dried, then dipped and packed for export to wherever you wish. Please try and bring laminated tags for your skins with your name and address on one side and the clearing agent on the other, it helps us a lot.

EQUIPMENT
The weapons used are very important. This should be discussed in depth by the client with Strang before he books his safari! We want to ensure that you have every chance of making a good, clean kill and harvesting your animal. A good pair of binoculars and a rangefinder are imperative for bowhunters.
Our weather is normally really nice May though August (cold at night) with things warming up somewhat September through November (just plain hot – the whole time!).
Our camps all have a daily laundry service so you can pack fairly light. Remember a good bush hat, worn in boots, casual shoes for around camp, bug spray and sunscreen.
Once you decide on a hunt we will of course “fine tune” and advise you exactly what you may need.
